Ghost of Peter's Dead Wife and 38 Women Dead
Exhibited at Trocadero Artspace, Footscray, in 2014 as part of a group exhibition called 'The Unknown'. Artists were asked to respond to the cartoon 'Over the Garden Wall'. Molesworth jumped at the chance to create a ghost. She combined that with the opportunity to respond to the contemporary statistic that 38 women had been killed by domestic violence in Australia in that year alone, it was April. 'Ghost of Peter's Dead Wife', a sculptural piece, was accompanied by a sound work, '38 Women Dead', a cover of a nursery rhyme, 'Peter Peter Pumpkin Eater'. Each verse of the song reverts to an earlier version, becoming more violent and coming closer to it's original inspiration, the murder of a woman and her child by her husband.
